Susie Facio

Biography

Susie Facio is an Aggie Alumni and obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work, Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, all from New Mexico State University. Prior to joining academia, she was providing counseling, support and advocacy to individuals, families and children throughout Southern New Mexico for well over 17 years. Areas of social work interest and research include but not limited to: medical healthcare, medical patient experiences, grief adjustment and counseling, mental health care and adoption and foster care of children. Susie Facio is committed to advocacy, social justice and diversity in practice and in her personal life.
