The School of Social Work’s CSWE accredited MSW and BSW educational programs are designed to prepare students for ethical and evidence-informed professional social work practice. The social work profession’s purpose is to promote human and community well-being. The profession is guided by the person-in-environment framework which enables the social work profession to foster a global perspective, respect for human diversity and knowledge based on scientific inquiry.

Social Work Students: Your Voice Matter! Come share your voice and discuss opportunities to advocate for change in the School of Social Work! Tuesday, October 7, 2025, 6pm-7pm MST
Complete RespectEdu Mandatory Training. All NMSU students must fulfil this important requirement. This one-time requirement covers key topics such as Title IX and the Clery Act. Student who miss the deadline will have a hold placed on their accounts, blocking Spring 2026 class registration.
