Dr. Domonique Henderson is an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University's School of Social Work. With a Bachelor's in Psychology from Howard University, an MSW from Baylor University, and a Ph.D. from UCLA, Domonique actively seeks pathways to leverage her training to merge research with community activism to support marginalized groups. Her research centers on gendered racism and its mental health implications for Black women and girls across contexts. In 2024, she founded and currently serves as the PI and Director of the Gendered Racism and Mental Health (GRAMH) Research Lab. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of a nonprofit, the CRWND, Inc. Mentoring Organization. While her research centers on gendered racism, she also conducted research examining anxiety, depression, colorism, texturism, youth civic engagement, YPAR, Black girlhood, and digital oppression on social media.
