Graduate Student Social Work Association (GSSWA)

Join us in building community, advancing social work, and shaping the future!

The Graduate Student Social Work Association (GSSWA) works to be a voice for all master’s level social work students. Current social work graduate students are automatically members of this organization once admitted as a part-time or full-time MSW student. GSSWA officers are elected annually by the graduate student body at the end of the previous spring semester. The association determines its goals and priorities at the start of each school year.

Our Purpose

  • Promote supportive interaction among students, faculty, agencies, and the community.
  • Prepare graduate students for future roles as social planners and policy makers.
  • Provide a support network for MSW students.
  • Sponsor training and professional development opportunities.
