About the Symposium

The Special Education School Social Work Symposium brings together social work students, faculty, and practitioners from across New Mexico to explore inclusive, strengths-based approaches to special education school social work.

Special Education Policy Workshop

A deep-dive session with Disability Rights New Mexico on the school-to-prison pipeline, discipline disparity, PBIS, and student advocacy in legal proceedings.

Multidisciplinary Panel

Hear from professionals across related services discussing interprofessional collaboration in special education settings.

Practice-Ready Interventions

Explore inclusive and strengths-based approaches, including the Power Hour where practitioners share evidence-informed interventions.
