Susie Facio
Susie Facio obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work, Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, all from New Mexico State University. Prior to transitioning into academia, she was providing counseling, support and advocacy to individuals, families and children throughout Southern New Mexico. Areas of social work interest and research include but not limited to: Paid Practicum Placements, Interprofessional Education, interdisciplinary frameworks in medical healthcare, medical patient experiences, grief adjustment and counseling and mental health care. Susie Facio is committed to advocacy, social justice and diversity in practice and in her personal life.
