Stacy Gherardi

 Dr. Stacy Gherardi is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at New Mexico State University and a licensed clinical social worker. Dr. Gherardi holds a BSW degree from Valparaiso University, an MSW degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and  PhD in Education Policy Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and teaches a wide ranges of courses in the MSW Global program. Her experiences as a classroom teacher and a school social worker inform her research on the intersections between social work and educational policy. Her research is community-driven, focusing on theory, implementation, and evaluation in areas such as trauma-informed education, school social work, interprofessional practice in schools, inclusive education, and community schools.
